So Fri am took it to lap top hospital and the expert @ at Morley Computers brought it back to life and so far so good. Was told it will need a new battery soon so will go back there to get one. Very happy to take my business local if the service is excellent, the advice truthful and price reasonable as I found it to be here. A* service. ------------------------------------------------ 23/04/2012 Jason ***** (Excellent) I like to have the latest gadgets and have trusted Morley Computers to upgrade my gaming system twice in the last year or so. Took in my NZXT phantom with Sabretooth X58 mobo system and got them to swap out for my currently used Asus P9X79 Deluxe system with HUGE Venom voodoo H/S/F. At the same time, the X58 mobo and processor was being put into my sons aging system as a free upgrade for him. This was a monumental task (that I certainly didn't relish the idea of :p) that was nonetheless completed within the week even though he was short staffed that week! Top man, one of the few system engineers that I would fully trust with my PC and always my preferred choice. Had a slight niggle with the system a week later (new technology, so understandable) took it in and he sorted it for me and refused my attempts to pay him telling me it's "part of the service." I have taken my laptop there on several occasions and often not been charged anything. My parents and friends use the shop and go back whenever there is a problem. They are happy to discuss any computer issues and explain how to resolve a problem if they think it can be resolved by the customer. The staff are all really friendly and would recommend them to anyone. (I would never use a High Street retailer again as I always felt like I was being charged far too much money for them not really doing anything! Brought it in and was ready the next day at a very reasonable price. When I got it home I tried to install my printer but since I am not technically minded I simply couldnt do it. I rang morley computers numerous times and nothing was too much trouble. I ended up bringing the lap top in again and the printer was installed free of charge. I can not recommend morley computers enough. I work in customer services and must say I have never received just excellent customer service. I've had a usb external hard drive for many years and ive wiped it so many times to had new pics and music and so on. This here day i dropped it and as you can guess it stopped working. I took it to morley computers after searching the net for the best results and i was shocked to find that it could be recovered at a reasonable price. I was even more shocked to find it also recovered the data i had wiped in the past, so to my delight i had all my old pics and music from years ago, which i had lost due lack of storage of my own fault. I was told not to worry about it, it could be sorted and i will get a call before end of day with a price. I was called and a price given and if i was to go ahead i would  get my laptop back within 2 days. I can say that he is the most experienced person I have met. You can talk to him about anything to do with computers and he will never have to think about the answer, he will respond to you about any problems you have got. One thing surprises me is that he will never charge you to find out what is wrong with you computer or laptop, (in the USA I have paid $90 for looking at my laptop) he checks it for free. I bought a laptop from him and many other things and the price has always been the best. I can recommend this firm to anybody who has got a problem with the computers and I am sure like me you will never go anyway else. Morley Computers keep up the good work, and I hope you will be there for your customers for a long time to come. Took it to Morley Computers and they tested the charger straight away in front of me and found that it was giving out the correct voltage and it wasn't that at fault. The member off staff was very professional and book my laptop in for a full test & check (which was totally free) I received a call first thing the following morning to inform me that the power socket had become detached from the main mother board, At which point they gave me a price and the option to go ahead with the repair or collect my laptop at no extra cost. I decided to go ahead with the repair and it was ready to collect the following day.
